Our Way of Work - Guarantee, Invoice

Warranty
Your Brilldor jewellery benefits from a two-year warranty which is valid under normal condi-tions of use from the date of purchase shown on your certificate which must be duly completed and validated with the stamp of the Chaumet store or authorised retailer.
Jewellery Warranty against defects
Brilldor jewellery will be repaired or replaced, in case if proven by our jewellers to be defective due to the manufacturing process within 2 years after the date of purchase.
Jewellery Warranty exclusions
The warranty against defects does not cover loss, damage, breakage, changes in appearance, kinks, or the gradual degradation of all or part of the goods due to normal wear, mishap, careless handling, improper use, the use of charms or items not manufactured by Pandora or use outside Pandora’s care instructions. Tarnishing occurs naturally and therefore, cleaning is not covered by the warranty.
To benefit from the Chaumet guarantee, your jewel must be serviced exclusively at a Chaumet boutique or by one of the authorised retailers.
It is therefore important to present your certificate for completion each time your jewel is serviced. After-sale repairs are guaranteed for one year after their installation.
This guarantee does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Improper or abusive use of the jewel, such as blows, falls or crushing
- Any servicing performed outside of the Chaumet network. This might expose your jewel to se-vere damage, for which Chaumet cannot be held responsible.
Your Chaumet jewellery is a precious and delicate item: you are recommended to use it and handle it with due care and attention, to preserve its original beauty over time.
Please observe the following recommendations for preserving your jewellery in everyday use:
- Always lay your Chaumet jewellery on a soft surface and store it in its pouch or the original box.
- Avoid any contact with other items of jewellery or sharp, abrasive or metal objects
- Handle the clasps with care
- Never wear your jewellery when playing sports
- Avoid any contact with perfume, alcohol, cosmetic products, ammonia and chlorine
- If your jewellery suffers a shock or an impact, you are recommended to have the stone setting checked so no stones are lost.
Jewellery should be cleaned using a soft brush in warm water with a mild, PH-neutral soap; this does not apply to pieces comprising stones other than diamonds. In this case, you are recom-mended to bring your jewellery into a store or to an authorised Chaumet retailer.
Your jewellery is designed for everyday wear. Nevertheless, after several years of everyday wear, it may lose some of its sparkle. Our cleaning, brightening, polishing and rhodium-plating services are designed to give your piece back its original sparkle. You are recommended to bring your jewellery into one of our stores, where our jewellers will examine it and perform the necessary service.
The BRILLDOR warranty against defects provides benefits in addition to the rights and remedies to which you are entitled under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. [Note: “major failure” has a specific meaning under the Australian Consumer Law.]
Lifetime surface warranty:
All polished jewellery will accumulate light but visible scratches due to wear. Thus, they need to be well looked after and handled with care. But even with the greatest care the appearance of light damage on the surface of jewellery is inevitable, so we offer a lifetime surface warranty for our jewellery pieces. This means that we offer to renew the surface of our jewellery pieces once a year giving them the appearance of new jewellery. The shipping or delivery of the jewellery items is the customer's responsibility.
Metal Hallmarks:
All our jewellery pieces undergo rigorous testing for purity. The fineness or purity of precious metals are graded based on an international convention. An official body verifies the metals in a laboratory and issues an official confirmation, based on which the hallmarks are stamped into the metal. These hallmarks are used in many countries so they are internationally accepted. Brilldor Jewellery always keeps to the international assay laws, and does not sell any jewellery pieces or objects that are not correctly hallmarked.
